Subject [jira] Commented: (HARMONY-1604) [classlib][beans] fixes for "try-catch" bugs in some tests
Date Thu, 28 Sep 2006 14:24:51 GMT
    [ http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HARMONY-1604?page=comments#action_12438446 ]

Mark Hindess commented on HARMONY-1604:
---------------------------------------

In that case, would it be reasonable to replace this test with:

  public void testXMLEncoder_Null() throws NullPointerException {
    new XMLEncoder(null);
  }

instead and let ant handle the exception - I think there is a document somewhere that explains
why this style is much better.

> Recently Robert Hu has posted the list of possible "try-catch" bugs in Harmony tests
(for details see [1]). After short investigation I found that there are at least three such
bad places (i.e. bugs) in beans tests. The attached patch contains fixes for them.
