Subject [jira] Reopened: (HARMONY-808) [classlib][nio]mmap native codes are not implemented in Harmony

George Harley reopened HARMONY-808:

Hi Paulex,

I'm seeing problems running the NIO tests on Linux after applying the patch for this JIRA.
Specifically, some of the NIO tests run and then the following message is displayed ...

*** glibc detected *** free(): invalid pointer: 0xbf03e000 ***

... at which point the NIO tests grind to a halt. Looks like the VM is crashing ?

Please could you verify if you are seeing this too. For the time being it is better to back
these changes out.

Best regards,

> java.nio.channels.FileChannel.map() is not fully implemented in Harmony. The native codes
are good candidates as portlib extention, but I prefer to implement them in platform dependent
way at first, and I will propose the portlib extension on the mailing list later.
