George Harley resolved HARMONY-745:
-----------------------------------

    Resolution: Fixed

Hi Andrew,

Test enhancements committed in revision 419050. Please could you verify that everything has
been applied as expected.

Interestingly enough, I see an intermittent failure of one of your test cases when run against
the 5.0 RI on Win XP. The test method test_read$LByteBufferII_blocking() occasionally fails
this assertion in assert_read$LByteBuffer(boolean isBlocking) ...

// assert total bytes read and the position of ByteBuffers
assertEquals(CAPACITY_NORMAL * 2, totalRead);    <<<----- FAILS !! totalRead == 200
!!!
assertEquals(CAPACITY_NORMAL, readContents[0].position());
assertEquals(CAPACITY_NORMAL, readContents[1].position());

It looks like this is actually down to a bug in the RI. Have you encountered anything like
this when running the API tests against the RI ?

In the meantime, thank you for these enhancements.

Best regards,
George

> Refine some unstable tests for read/write operation in o.a.h.tests.java.nio.channels.SocketChannelTest.

> They are testReadByteBufferArray_Blocking_ReadWriteRealData, testReadByteBufferArray_NonBlocking_ReadWriteRealData,
testReadByteBufferArrayIntInt_Blocking_ReadWriteRealData, testReadByteBufferArrayIntInt_NonBlocking_ReadWriteRealData.

> The unstable reasons are the same as Harmony-691.
> I'll upload a patch to remove these tests and add new corresponding stable tests.
> Thanks!
