Subject [jira] Updated: (HARMONY-596) [classlib] Make .lib/.a files build into deploy/lib
Date Mon, 12 Jun 2006 13:01:30 GMT

Oliver Deakin updated HARMONY-596:
----------------------------------

    Attachment: move.lib.target.diff
                move.lib.target.sh

move.lib.target.diff makes all the necessary build script changes to generate and build against
libs in deploy/lib. This patch should be applied to the root of a classlib/trunk checkout.

move.lib.target.sh is a simple script that will delete the two lib directories under native-src/(win.IA32|linux.IA32).
It should be run in the root of a classlib trunk checkout.

The patch and script make disjoint changes, and so can be applied in any order.

> The next step towards creating an hdk-like shape to the deploy (or target) directory
is to build the .lib/.a files in Windows/Linux, that are used for linking against, into the
deploy/lib directory.
> I will attach a proposed patch for these changes that will alter the build system to
create the libs in the deploy/lib directory, and also build against them there.
> Also, the native-src/win.IA32/lib and native-src/linux.IA32/lib can be deleted (I will
attach a script with the necessary svn commands).
