java.net.Socket.connect(SocketAddress) throws a different exception from RI
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

         Key: HARMONY-600
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HARMONY-600
     Project: Harmony
        Type: Bug

  Components: Classlib
    Reporter: Richard Liang

Hello,

java.net.Socket.connect(SocketAddress) throws IOException instead of UnknownHostException
when the SocketAddress is an unknown host.

RI 5.0 passes the following test while Harmony fails.

public void test_socket_connect_unresolved() throws Exception {
        Socket socket = new Socket();
        try{
            socket.connect(InetSocketAddress.createUnresolved("unknownhost",12345));
            fail("Should throw UnknownHostException");
        } catch (UnknownHostException e){
            // expected
        }
    }

Best regards,
Richard
