Subject [jira] Created: (HARMONY-378) java.util.Arrays.sort(null,(int)-1,(int)1) should throw NullPointerException
Date Wed, 19 Apr 2006 07:29:18 GMT
java.util.Arrays.sort(null,(int)-1,(int)1) should throw NullPointerException
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

         Key: HARMONY-378
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HARMONY-378
     Project: Harmony
        Type: Bug

  Components: Classlib
    Reporter: Mark Hindess
    Priority: Trivial

To match RI behaviour, the three and four argument Arrays.sort methods should throw NullPointerExceptions
when passed a null array but it throws ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException in some cases.

Will attach a patch shortly.
