eclipse compiler confused by non-ASCII characters in java/text/CollationElementIterator.java
source file
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

         Key: HARMONY-189
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HARMONY-189
     Project: Harmony
        Type: Bug
  Components: Classlib
    Reporter: Mark Hindess

I'm trying to have a two stage build ... first with a RI JDK and then with Harmony classlib
+ VME + Eclipse compiler, but it fails with:

[javac] 239. ERROR in /home/hybld/build_test/classlib/modules/text/src/main/java/java/text/RuleBasedCollator.java
[javac] (at line 79)
[javac] public CollationElementIterator getCollationElementIterator(
[javac] ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
[javac] CollationElementIterator cannot be resolved to a type

I believe this has something to do with the non-ASCII characters in:

  modules/text/src/main/java/java/text/CollationElementIterator.java

I've no idea what we should replace them with. If someone has an idea, can they submit a
patch to replace the characters with a suitable ASCII representation?
