Sorry Walker I am a little late in responding .. For further help you can
refer the PDFs here -  http://wiki.apache.org/hama/GettingStarted
It has installation guide and introduction to programming model. I am in
the process of converting it to html ebook.
The document contents are still evolving but the installation guide has
been just enough to start on Hama.
