Subject [jira] [Commented] (YARN-8113) Update placement constraints doc with application namespace and inter-app constraints
Date Tue, 01 May 2018 02:25:00 GMT

Weiwei Yang commented on YARN-8113:

Hi [~kkaranasos]
{quote}I thought we still do not have support inside the scheduler for that (only the processor
can do this). If this is the case, we

should keep this sentence.
This will be done in YARN-8015, which is already patch available for sometime. I am trying
to get that one done for 3.1.1. We've been internally testing this for a while, I think there
is a huge gap for a closure, lets try our best.
{quote}Can we instead of "server" and "processor"...
Sure thing. Just updated the doc.
{quote}we should add the syntax for AND and OR.
{quote}You can put the "Allocation tags namespace" paragraph above the "Differences between
node labels, attributes, and tags" para.

V2 uploaded. Thanks for the review!

> Once YARN-8013 is done, we will support all type of application namespace types for inter-app
constraints, accordingly we need to update the doc. Also make sure API doc will be updated.
