Subject [jira] [Commented] (YARN-7522) Introduce AllocationTagsManager to associate allocation tags to nodes

Panagiotis Garefalakis commented on YARN-7522:
----------------------------------------------

I know this patch is committed already but one thing I can see missing from the TagsManager
is proper support for different constraint scopes.
For example, while it is fairly easy to retrieve tag cardinalities per Node or cluster-wide
there is no straightforward way to do this for Rack - I think this should be part of the
TagManager as well.

Any thoughts [~asuresh] [~wangda]?

> This is different from YARN-6596, YARN-6596 is targeted to add constraint manager to
store intra/inter application placement constraints. This JIRA is targeted to support storing
maps between container-tags/applications and nodes. This will be required by affinity/anti-affinity
implementation and cardinality.
