Subject [jira] [Updated] (YARN-5174) several updates/corrections to timeline service documentation
Date Thu, 16 Jun 2016 23:01:05 GMT

Sangjin Lee updated YARN-5174:
    Attachment: YARN-5174-YARN-2928.03.patch

Posted patch v.3.

On top of Varun's work, I made the following changes:
- specified the HBase version requirement
- corrected the coprocessor configuration key
- removed the writer/reader class configuration from the section for enabling timeline service
- removed mention of the web UI (which didn't make this milestone)
- miscellaneous: corrected typos, wrapped long lines, etc.

Please review. Also, if you'd like to make more edits, please comment here so that we know
who's actively working on it. Thanks!

> One part that is missing in the documentation is the need to add {{hbase-site.xml}} on
the client side (the client hadoop cluster). First, we need to arrive at the minimally required
client setting to connect to the right hbase cluster. Then, we need to document it so that
users know exactly what to do to configure the cluster to use the timeline service v.2.
