Subject [jira] [Commented] (YARN-5111) YARN container system metrics are not aggregated to application
Date Wed, 25 May 2016 23:13:12 GMT

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YARN-5111?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15301078#comment-15301078

Naganarasimha G R commented on YARN-5111:

My Bad ... even after document pointing out the hdfs rpc port different did not configure
it and wasted some time .... :(
[~gtCarrera9], Based on my initial analysis, i could see that the *TimelineMetric.realtimeAggregationOp*
is getting set as NOP because of which its not aggregating. Was wondering even though its
set in *NMTimelinePublisher.reportContainerResourceUsage* how its getting reset. will further
check and update.

> YARN container system metrics are not aggregated to application
> ---------------------------------------------------------------
> Key: YARN-5111
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YARN-5111
> Project: Hadoop YARN
> Issue Type: Sub-task
> Components: timelineserver
> Affects Versions: YARN-2928
> Reporter: Sangjin Lee
> Assignee: Naganarasimha G R
> Priority: Critical
> Labels: yarn-2928-1st-milestone
> It appears that the container system metrics (CPU and memory) are not being aggregated
onto the application.
> I definitely see container system metrics when I query for YARN_CONTAINER. However, there
is no corresponding metrics on the parent application.
