Sangjin Lee commented on YARN-3045:

Hi [~Naganarasimha], I do have one quick question on the naming. I see a lot of names that
include "metrics", such as NMMetricsPublisher, NMMetricsEvent, NMMetricsEventType, and so
on. And yet, they don't seem to involve metrics in the sense of timeline metrics. This is
a source of confusion to me. Do we need "metrics" in these? They seem to be capturing purely
lifecycle events. Could we change them to better names?
