Hitesh Shah commented on YARN-3304:
-----------------------------------

Forgot to add, we use this for resource monitoring for a task within a container. Given that
we run multiple tasks within the same container, this api stability becomes more important
as YARN cannot provide the resource monitoring functionality at the granularity that we need.

> Per discussions in YARN-3296, getCpuUsagePercent() will return -1 for unavailable case
while other resource metrics are return 0 in the same case which sounds inconsistent.
