Karthik Kambatla commented on YARN-2131:
----------------------------------------

We were considering both a startup flag and through yarn rmadmin. AFAIK, there is no precedent
for startup flag, but I like that idea better.

[~vinodkv] - I opened this JIRA per our discussion about YARN-2010. A startup flag seems like
a good way to go about this. Do you think it is reasonable?

> There are cases when we don't want to recover past applications, but recover applications
going forward. To do this, one has to clear the store. Today, there is no easy way to do this
and users should understand how each store works.
