Subject [jira] [Commented] (YARN-891) Store completed application information in RM state store
Date Mon, 29 Jul 2013 23:23:48 GMT

Bikas Saha commented on YARN-891:

The FinalTransition of the app attempt is probably the common location where we know the final
details of the app attempt. we can add more fields to ApplicationAttemptState and assign these
fields here. Then save the whole object back. For an app attempt that has not completed then
those fields will be invalid when we read the saved object. One of the new fields in ApplicationAttemptState
could be attempt status which can be used to determine what the status the attempt was. It
will be some final status upon attempt completion but some invalid default value when the
attempt is first created and stored.
