Devaraj K commented on YARN-107:

The patch is fine for absent applications in RM. But when we issue kill command for non-running
applications, it will simply give a message saying "Killing application <app-id>".

host-10-18-40-24:/home/apache/install/hadoop-3.0.0-SNAPSHOT/bin # ./yarn application -list
Total Applications:1

host-10-18-40-24:/home/apache/install/hadoop-3.0.0-SNAPSHOT/bin # ./yarn application -kill
Killing application application_1374754213039_0001
host-10-18-40-24:/home/apache/install/hadoop-3.0.0-SNAPSHOT/bin #

I think as part of this JIRA, we need to handle the non-running(FINISHED/FAILED/KILLED) applications
kill also.
