Conventional enterprise backup systems are rarely scaled for hadoop needs.  Both bandwidth
and size are typically lacking.  

My employer, Mapr, offers a hadoop-derived distribution that includes both point in time snapshots
and remote mirrors. Contact me off line for more info.
