Subject RE: fail to compile hadoop branch-0.22/mapreduce
Date Tue, 02 Aug 2011 04:07:24 GMT
This is an erroneous patch applied for:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDFS-2189

In the meantime that patch has been rolled back (and a new fixed one attached).
However, due to no build servers being available, the new code has not been built and deployed
to the Maven repo.

The problem is that the pom in hadoop-hdfs incorrectly reads that it depends on org.apache.hadoop#guava.

Once the build servers are available, the build should go through and resolve the issue.
Or, a committer with Maven deployment rights should deploy a version earlier.

If you want to build your own hadoop-common and hadoop-hdfs and do a local maven install,
then that should work as well for now.
I have instructions how to do this in:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDFS-2211

Hope this helps,

Joep
