Subject M/R use case
Date Thu, 21 Oct 2010 05:53:26 GMT

Hi there,

I wonder our oracle stored procedure is a good Hadoop M/R use case.
That procedure starts with a parameter like (productid) then it will
refer(do join) 32 tables.
Like Bill of Materail(BOM) stored in several normalized tables, the stored
procedure is denormalization process.
That a parameter will produce about 3000 records after that stored
procedure process.
Also, there are some logic bundling with the data, like if the string
begins with A ,
it will do join with TableA, if the string begins with B, it will do join
with TableB.
It's a complicated stored procedure, do a lot of join and even needs to
refer a Max() record in a table.
So, is this a good hadoop M/R use case?
Any suggestion would be appreciated!
