[~trex58] , have you resolved this issue yet? I am facing the same error in the tests mentioned by you. 
Here are my environment details:
Ubuntu 14.04 ppc64le 
$ java -version
openjdk version "1.8.0_111"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_111-8u111-b14-3~14.04.1-b14)

Below is the error i got :

However, I am not sure whether this is related to the test failures.
