Subject [jira] [Commented] (MAPREDUCE-4720) Browser thinks History Server main page JS is taking too long
Date Mon, 05 Sep 2016 12:04:20 GMT

Manikandan R commented on MAPREDUCE-4720:
-----------------------------------------

I figured out how to increase the count using mapreduce.jobhistory.joblist.cache.size, but
increasing job name length using mapreduce.jobhistory.jobname.limit is not working. It is
not considering new value and still works based on old default value (50).

However, loading of JHS UI is slow.

> The main History Server page with the default settings of 20,000 jobs can cause browsers
to think that the JS on the page is stuck and ask you if you want to kill it. This is a big
usability problem.
