Jason Lowe commented on MAPREDUCE-4060:

Yes, brought this up on a single-node cluster, examined the resourcemanager log to verify
the SLF4J warning related to the mapreduce lib copy no longer appeared, then ran wordcount
and sleep jobs successfully.

> ------------------------------
> Key: MAPREDUCE-4060
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MAPREDUCE-4060
> Project: Hadoop Map/Reduce
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: build
> Affects Versions: 0.23.0
> Reporter: Jason Lowe
> Assignee: Jason Lowe
> Attachments: MAPREDUCE-4060.patch
> This is the MAPREDUCE portion of HADOOP-8005. We should remove slf4j from the assembly
and use the one provided by hadoop-common so we don't end up with multiple binding warnings
for SLF4J.
