Subject [jira] [Updated] (MAPREDUCE-3931) MR tasks failing due to changing timestamps on Resources to download
Date Wed, 29 Feb 2012 05:00:09 GMT

     [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MAPREDUCE-3931?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel
]

Vinod Kumar Vavilapalli updated MAPREDUCE-3931:
-----------------------------------------------

      Resolution: Fixed
    Release Note: Changed PB implementation of LocalResource to take locks so that race conditions
don't fail tasks by inadvertantly changing the timestamps.
    Hadoop Flags: Reviewed
          Status: Resolved  (was: Patch Available)

I just committed this to trunk, branch-0.23 and branch-0.23.2. Thanks Sid!

> [~karams] reported this offline. Seems that tasks are randomly failing during gridmix
runs:
