The tutorial for 0.20.2 is here:

and contains only the one JAR that you expect.

The current tutorial:

  http://hadoop.apache.org/mapreduce/docs/current/mapred_tutorial.html

lists three separate JARs because after 0.20.2 the project was split into
"common", "hdfs" and "mapreduce", each having its own JARs.
