I don't have specific concerns about this patch.  Sorry for any confusion in that regard.
 I thought it worthwhile to discuss how this change relates to other changes that are contemplated.
 It seems not inconsistent, provides some of the benefits, and is considerably simpler; in
short, a good thing.
