Subject [jira] [Created] (MAPREDUCE-2488) getLocalityLevel returns incorrect result
Date Thu, 12 May 2011 06:19:47 GMT
getLocalityLevel returns incorrect result

                 Key: MAPREDUCE-2488
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MAPREDUCE-2488
             Project: Hadoop Map/Reduce
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: jobtracker
    Affects Versions: 0.21.0
            Reporter: Zhenhua (Gerald) Guo

This line
{{int level = this.maxLevel;}}
initializes variable "level" to "this.maxLevel". If the real locality level is larger than
maxLevel, the method "getLocalityLevel" always return "this.maxLevel", which is incorrect.
To make it work, I change it
{{int level = Integer.MAX_VALUE;}}
