Yes, I agree/agreed. I was off topic there, describing how we could do it if we wanted to.
I will open a separate Jira for that. 

Upcoming at Hadoop World NYC someone is going to present the new authentication code in Hadoop,
I would like to watch that then we(I) might better understand what the long term strategy
is for Hadoop. I will split off authentication and authorization into two separate Jira to
avoid confusion.
