just started looking at this.

bin/hwi - seems like this replicates all the bin/hive logic. it will be troublesome to maintain
replicated code. can we try to have the same shell harness and then launch hwi based on command
line parameters?. ie:

- bin/hive --> launches cli
- bin/hive --mode hwi  --> launches hwi server? (or some switch like that)

this type of setup could also be useful for adding more standalone hive utilities in future
