Regarding the subcluster0 being unavailable resulting in 2 DNs available, I= also thought the same and that was my initial intention. However, I the MiniDFSCluster topology for federated DNs, makes all DNs joi= n all subclusters. I tried to see if there was an easy way to tune that but I couldn't find it= ; we should add one easy way to set that setup up and using in the RBF test= s. Given this scenario, I kept the check when only subcluster0 is slow; once w= e have the new setup we can look for only 2 in that case (for now, I would = keep that check for completeness). > RBF: Improve timeout RPC call mechanism > --------------------------------------- > > Key: HDFS-13384 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDFS-13384 > Project: Hadoop HDFS > Issue Type: Sub-task > Reporter: =C3=8D=C3=B1igo Goiri > Assignee: =C3=8D=C3=B1igo Goiri > Priority: Minor > Attachments: HDFS-13384.000.patch, HDFS-13384.001.patch > > > When issuing RPC requests to subclusters, we have a time out mechanism in= troduced in HDFS-12273.
