Subject [jira] [Commented] (HDFS-12603) Enable async edit logging by default
Date Mon, 09 Oct 2017 22:35:00 GMT

Andrew Wang commented on HDFS-12603:

Adding a thread sleep is rather unsatisfying, is there something better we can do with a lock
or barrier via a static fault injector class?

Also, seems like we should revert the trunk/branch-3.0 patches too, and go with something
like this new version. Thoughts?

HDFS-12603.branch-2.01.patch, HDFS-12603.branch-2.02.patch
> HDFS-7964 added support for async edit logging. Based on further discussion in that JIRA,
we think it's safe to turn this on by default for better out-of-the-box performance.
