Subject [jira] [Updated] (HDFS-12469) Ozone: Create docker-compose definition to easily test real clusters
Date Wed, 27 Sep 2017 16:29:00 GMT

Elek, Marton updated HDFS-12469:
    Attachment: HDFS-12469-HDFS-7240.002.patch

Thanks for the feedback, [~anu]

In this patch:

1. I simplified the documentation according to your suggestion. (I just added the docker-compose
scale command at the end as I think this is one of the selling point. I really like this command).
Later I will create a separated OzoneDocker page with the more details. (maybe after collecting
feedback from the first adopters.).

2. I fixed the name of ozone.metadata.dirs as you suggested.

3. I added the rpc.metrics.quantile.* settings. It's better to see the metrics by default.

4. Modifed the datanode.id and metadata dir to use /data (which is volume, so more persistent)

> The goal here is to create a docker-compose definition for ozone pseudo-cluster with
docker (one component per container).
> Ideally after a full build the ozone cluster could be started easily with after a simple
docker-compose up command.
