API looks good to me, sounds like what Uma and I discussed.

I was hoping we could find a way of implementing "-w" without doing a full recursive traversal
each time. Uma alludes to this with "we could cache the result for 1min or 5 min". We could
fallback to a recursive traversal on error or failover or other cases like that.
