Subject [jira] [Updated] (HDFS-11511) DataNode disk checks should timeout when stalled
Date Thu, 16 Mar 2017 01:12:41 GMT

Arpit Agarwal updated HDFS-11511:
       Resolution: Fixed
    Fix Version/s: 3.0.0-alpha3
           Status: Resolved (was: Patch Available)

Committed to trunk. Thanks for contributing this improvement [~hanishakoneru].

The conflicts while backporting to branch-2 were trivial. I got some compile errors with JDK
7 which should be easy to fix. If you can attach a branch-2 patch I'd be happy to commit it

have a configurable timeout so that bad disks do not hang and cause long running checks.
