Most of the hedging management is done asynchronously but we still need to copy data between
threads, so I guess his concern is still valid.
The solution is much faster than a regular read but the thread management is still there.
In any case, I think it's good practice to make it an opt-in feature.
We already rely on the config from HDFS-5776 to enable/disable it.
If we want to separate it from the regular hedged reads, we can add a separate one for non-positional
reads.
