Ping [~daryn]
Hello Daryn this jira is showing up as a critical jira on Hadoop 3 release dashboard. This
one was filed 4 years ago, do you still think this is a critical issue?

Thanks!

> Webhdfs assumes that SPNEGO's {{AuthenticationException}} is always fatal. The exception
is thrown if authentication truly fails due to bad credentials, _but_ it's also thrown when
the auth token expires after 10h. The retry policies are short-circuited and the fs becomes
unusable which is unsuitable for long running processes/daemons.
