Subject [jira] [Commented] (HDFS-8858) DU should be re-executed if the target directory exists
Date Wed, 14 Sep 2016 09:03:20 GMT

Akira Ajisaka commented on HDFS-8858:

Unintentionally fixed by HADOOP-12973, but if HDFS-10777 is fixed, this occurs again.

> DU should be re-executed if the target directory exists
> -------------------------------------------------------
> Key: HDFS-8858
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDFS-8858
> Project: Hadoop HDFS
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: datanode
> Reporter: Akira Ajisaka
> Priority: Minor
> Unix DU command rarely fails when a child file/directory of the target path is being
moved or deleted. I'm thinking we should re-try DU if the target path exists, to avoid failure
in writing replicas.
