Subject [jira] [Commented] (HDFS-9553) unit tests are leaving files undeletable by jenkins in target dir

Allen Wittenauer commented on HDFS-9553:
----------------------------------------

Since H6 was sick near the time that we had these problems last time, I didn't put the chmod
u+w fix in. I have since, but it should still be unnecessary and likely won't catch every
instance. Instead, the unit tests themselves should be doing a better job of clean up.

Since we have people like [~gkesavan] on the Hadoop PMC, I'll let them log in and remove the
files rather than bother with filing an INFRA ticket. Until then, HDFS precommit tests on
that node are just going to silently fail.

> Once again we have a 'stuck' jenkins slave because a unit test is leaving files around
that git clean can't remove:
> From https://builds.apache.org/job/PreCommit-HDFS-Build/13851/console:
> {code}
> stderr: warning: failed to remove hadoop-hdfs-project/hadoop-hdfs/target/test/data/2
> {code}
> The last time this happened: INFRA-10785
