Subject [jira] [Commented] (HDFS-9416) Respect OpenSSL and protobuf definitions in maven configuration when building libhdfspp
Date Fri, 20 Nov 2015 01:05:10 GMT

Xiaobing Zhou commented on HDFS-9416:
-------------------------------------

In the mvn command line
{code}
mvn -Dmaven.repo.local=/home/jenkins/yetus-m2/hadoop-HDFS-8707-1 -Ptest-patch -DskipTests
-Pnative -Drequire.snappy -Drequire.openssl -Drequire.fuse -Drequire.test.libhadoop clean
test-compile -DskipTests=true
{code}, there's no openssl setting. The v004 patch supports passing in OPENSSL_INCLUDE_DIR/OPENSSL_CRYPTO_LIBRARY/OPENSSL_SSL_LIBRARY.

[~aw] can you point us how/where openssl is installed in build machine? Thanks!

> As discovered in HDFS-9380 the current pom.xml / CMakeLists.txt in libhdfspp does not
respect the configuration from the maven command line. Subsequently it breaks the Jenkins
build.
> Both pom.xml and CMakeLists.txt need to be fixed to get Jenkins working again.
