Subject [jira] [Commented] (HDFS-8805) Archival Storage: getStoragePolicy should not need superuser privilege
Date Fri, 07 Aug 2015 17:40:46 GMT

Jing Zhao commented on HDFS-8805:

Thanks for updating the patch, [~brahmareddy]! The new patch removes the {{includeStoragePolicy}}
parameter from both {{getFileInfo}} methods. Actually we still need the parameter for the
first one: {{getFileInfo(FSDirectory, String, INodesInPath, boolean, boolean)}}, considering
it is called by {{getAuditFileInfo}} which does not require the storage policy information.
We only need to remove the parameter from the other getFileInfo: {{getFileInfo(FSDirectory,
String, boolean, boolean, boolean)}}.

> The result of getStoragePolicy command is always 'unspecified' even we has set a StoragePolicy
on a directory.But the real placement of blocks is correct.
> The result of fsck is not correct either.
