> Key: HDFS-6122
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDFS-6122
> Project: Hadoop HDFS
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: caching
> Affects Versions: 2.3.0

> It'd be nice if the NameNode was able to rebalance cache usage among datanodes. This
would help avoid situations where the only three DNs with a replica are full and there is
still cache space on the rest of the cluster. It'll also probably help for heterogeneous node
sizes and when adding new nodes to the cluster or doing a rolling restart.
