Subject [jira] [Commented] (HDFS-7209) Populate EDEK cache when creating encryption zone
Date Sat, 11 Oct 2014 00:33:34 GMT

Yi Liu commented on HDFS-7209:

The test failure about TestEncryptionZonesWithKMS says "java.lang.NoSuchMethodError ... KMSClientProvider.getEncKeyQueueSize".
But actually it exists and I run it successfully in my local environment. Other Jenkins warnings
are not related.
Thanks again for Andrew for commit.

> Project: Hadoop HDFS
> Issue Type: Sub-task
> Components: encryption, performance
> Affects Versions: 2.6.0
> Reporter: Yi Liu
> Assignee: Yi Liu
> Fix For: 2.7.0
> Attachments: HDFS-7209.001.patch, HDFS-7209.002.patch
> Currently when creating file in an encryption zone for the first time, key provider will
get bunch of keys from KMS and fill in the queue. It will take some time. We can initialize
the key queue when creating the encryption zone by admin.
