Hi Charles, thanks for picking this up (and thanks Allen for reporting, I was going to file
the same thing). Had a few review comments:

* I think PerformanceAdvisory would be a nice logsink to use for the CryptoCodec stuff, it
definitely relates to perf. Could do it at DEBUG level.
* Would be nice to switch PerfAdvisory to use slf4j too. If this gets too big, we can do it
in a different JIRA (or simply rename this one to be more general, i.e. "Add additional PerformanceAdvisory
