Subject [jira] [Commented] (HDFS-6940) Initial refactoring to allow ConsensusNode implementation
Date Thu, 28 Aug 2014 20:33:09 GMT

Aaron T. Myers commented on HDFS-6940:

If I am reading this right, you'd be ok with a potentially huge refactoring of NN followed
by one the two:
1. significant duplication of the NN code in the CNode
2. unnecessarily exposing the implementation of many intimate parts of NN

I was not necessarily suggesting any of those things. It's not at all clear to me that said
refactor would necessarily be "huge," or that it would result in any duplication of NN code
in the ConsensusNode. If it's designed well I don't see why either of those things would necessarily
be the case. That very much remains to be seen, and just asserting that it would be so is
not very constructive.
