Brandon Li updated HDFS-6416:
-----------------------------

    Affects Version/s: 2.4.0

> Use Time#monotonicNow in OpenFileCtx and OpenFileCtxCatch to avoid system clock bugs
> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: HDFS-6416
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDFS-6416
> Project: Hadoop HDFS
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: nfs
> Affects Versions: 2.4.0
> Reporter: Brandon Li
> Priority: Minor
>
> As [~cnauroth] pointed out in HADOOP-10612, Time#monotonicNow is a more preferred method
to use since this isn't subject to system clock bugs (i.e. Someone resets the clock to a time
in the past, and then updates don't happen for a long time.)
