Subject [jira] [Updated] (HDFS-4924) Show NameNode state on dfsclusterhealth page
Date Wed, 18 Sep 2013 00:53:52 GMT

Aaron T. Myers updated HDFS-4924:
---------------------------------

    Priority: Major (was: Blocker)

I agree, this should not be a blocker. This is a nice thing to add (I was conflating the dfsclusterhealth
and the dfshealth pages in my previous comment) but we should not hold up any release waiting
for this issue to be fixed, particularly since: a) the active/standby state is already on
the dfshealth page, and b) there is no "browse the file system" link on the dfshealth page
of a standby NN.

> dfsclusterhealth.jsp shows summary of multiple namenodes in cluster. With federation
combined with HA it becomes difficult to quickly know the state of NameNodes in the cluster.
It would be good to show if NameNode is Active/Standy on summary page.
