Subject [jira] [Updated] (HDFS-5139) Remove redundant -R option from setrep
Date Wed, 28 Aug 2013 17:24:51 GMT

Arpit Agarwal updated HDFS-5139:
--------------------------------

    Description:
The -R option to setrep is redundant because it is required for directory targets and ignored
for file targets.

We can just remove the option and make -R the default for directories.

was:The documentation does not make it clear that invoking -setrep on a directory without
-R should do nothing.
