Subject [jira] [Updated] (HDFS-4530) return buffer into direct bufferPool in BlockReaderLocal as possible
Date Wed, 03 Jul 2013 16:30:22 GMT

     [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDFS-4530?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel
]

Colin Patrick McCabe updated HDFS-4530:
---------------------------------------

    Resolution: Duplicate
        Status: Resolved  (was: Patch Available)

The change to use IOUtils.cleanup on the InputStream instead of calling close() directly has
already been made by HDFS-4538. So I am closing this as duplicate.

Liang, feel free to reopen or file another JIRA if you have ideas for more improvements.
Thanks.

>     checksum = null;

> {code}
> If there's an IOException occurred in dataIn.close(), then the slowReadBuff&checksumBuff
could not be returned anymore. let's make a trivial change to reduce this risk.
