Subject [jira] [Commented] (HDFS-4572) Fix TestJournal failures on Windows
Date Fri, 08 Mar 2013 00:54:12 GMT

Chris Nauroth commented on HDFS-4572:

Great catches!

Is it possible/worthwhile to use one of the file sharing APIs on the lock file instead of
saying that the lock owner is unknown? (i.e. {{NativeIO#getShareDeleteFileInputStream}} or
perhaps add a new {{NativeIO#getShareReadFileInputStream}} for additional safety.)

+          lockingJvmName = new String("'unknown'");

Since this is a string literal, we wouldn't need to call new, and instead could just say:

+          lockingJvmName = "'unknown'";
