Timothy J. O'Dell commented on HDFS-342:
----------------------------------------

I'm consistently seeing 10 minute runs on trunk. It appears that most of the time is spent
in FSNamesystem.java:logAuditEvent.

Test set: org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.server.blockmanagement.TestUnderReplicatedBlocks

Tests run: 1, Failures: 0, Errors: 0, Skipped: 0, Time elapsed: 615.989 sec

> TestUnderReplicatedBlocks (introduced in HADOOP-4598) takes around 10 minutes to run,
which seems excessive. Can we write a test for this behaviour which runs in significantly
less time (e.g. less than a minute)?
